Connor Moran is from Wynantskill and is 16 years old. He was diagnosed at age 12 with Crohn's Disease & Osteoporosis. He recently underwent Bowel Resection Surgery, and had 3.5 feet of bowel removed. Connor is home-schooled and his friends are minimal. He has limited mobility and is easily fatigued. His mother prepares his food in a blender and is fed via G-Tube.
ACCFCB met with the family in their home for the first time on Saturday, Dec 1, 2007. ACCFCB will be supporting Connor and his family. To help this family get on stable ground financially, ACCFCB will pay $1500 to bring their utility bills up to date with the help of a $500 donation from Local 775. We will also pay all of Connor's outstanding medical bills at a cost of about $2600. . We plan to help cover future medical expenses for Connor not covered by Medical Insurance. We will assist the family with future travel expenses with regard to Connor's medical needs. Christina Sillery pictured above is a Siena College student who befriended Connor after learning of his plight through ACCFCB- Christina also has Crohn's disease.
