AIDEN WAS FINALLY RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AND IS GOING HOME!

 

 
  
The Albany County Correctional Facility for Children's Benefit is so proud to announce that Aiden Was FINALLY ABLE TO GO HOME TODAY, Monday- March 22, 2010! Aiden spent 117 days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

ACCFCB would like to extend our sincere best wishes and Congratulations to Aiden, his parents and their loving family, we know this is a very exciting and happy day for all of you! 

Aiden Torres, born with Gastroschesis (Intestines outside of his body) remained in Albany Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit since his birth on Thanksgiving, 2009. 

ACCFCB reported on February 18, 2010 that Aiden was "GOING HOME" as early as Monday, February 22, 2010, this was sadly not to be. Aiden had suffered an unfortunate setback during his ever increasing feeding process when his abdomen started to expand and bile had to be pumped from his stomach. Doctor's immediately ordered all mother's nutrients to be stopped and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition- supplies all daily nutritional requirements) to be administered.

ACCFCB further extends our sincere appreciation and thanks to Lieutenant James Karam of the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Officefor assisting Aiden's family on behalf of our children's foundation! (Lt. Karam was also instrumental in assisting "Connor Moran" on behalf of ACCFCB as well).
