Connor Moran of Wynantskill age 18
e-mail update from Connor's mom (Laura)-
Dear John Smith
I hope all is well with You and Family. I am sorry I haven't kept in touch with you, we've been very busy.
I wanted to let you know that Connor is doing well. About a month ago he started a new diet, "The Maker's Diet". He can finally be on a diet where he can eat meat! It is a very healthy diet, and very strict. He broke his diet after a week, so he was not feeling very well for a couple of days. He's been moving around more and more. He still uses the wheelchair when we go out, and the crutches full time. He needs to gain more weight in order for him to start walking without the crutches. He is taking a Bible class online, and every Tuesdays the youth group gets together at our home. It is a blessing we found out about this diet, God's prints were all over it. We are all eating better because of it. Connor's stress is a big part of it, so I had to change many things about our lifestyle. It will be a long recovery for Connor, and a lot of work. Only God knows what is ahead of us, but I know that if Connor works at it he will be in great health within a year. He also has to work on his anxiety, and fear of being alone. We have to focus, and stay positive. Connor is such a brave, and strong young man. He is my inspiration!
I want to give you a big 'THANK YOU". When we were in a time of need a seed was planted, that was Mr. Karam (Lieutenant James Karam, Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office) who got in touch with You. We are so grateful to you all for what you did for us. It was very overwhelming, and we felt very, very blessed. This is the first time in our lives that someone does something so big, and specially for our Connor. All the people who were involved. The Golf event was a very amazing time, and so meaningful. God bless you all for everything that you do.
With all our Sincere Thanks,
Laura, Len, Connor and Kirsten
