Daniel Dingley, age 7 of Green Island, NY was trapped in his home during a house fire on April 2nd, 2010 (Good Friday). He was thankfully rescued by the Green Island Fire Department and immediately turned over to Empire Ambulance Service Crew who resuscitated him and administered life saving medical treatment.
Daniel continues on his long road to recovery and travels back and forth to Boston Shriners Hospital for Children with the help of ACCF for Children's Benefit. He continues to undergo several corrective surgeries while coping with extensive Physical Therapy.
Daniel and his family look forward to expressing their gratitude to everyone for saving their sons life and for supporting them along their difficult journey. The brave firefighters and ambulance crew will also be honored at our annual 'Teed off for Tots' Golf Classic banquet t/b held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 2:30 pm- Tickets are $20 & reservation requested by calling John @ 588-5055. Daniel will recieve the ACCF for Children's Benefit 'Courage Award' for coping so bravely with this life altering tragedy. Daniel's wish is to go for a ride on a fire truck someday and who better to make this wish a reality than the Green Island Fire Department. They plan to have their firetruck at the event to surprise Daniel with just such a ride.
