Child House Fire Survivor and His Rescuers to be Honored
Who: Daniel Dingley, age 8 of Green Island, New York, was trapped in his burning home on April 2, 2010. He was found and rescued by the Green Island Fire Department. Daniel was resuscitated and given life saving medical treatments by Empire Ambulance Service. Daniel and his family look forward to expressing their gratitude to everyone involved in the rescue of their young child and for the continued support from ACCF for Children’s Benefit.
What: Daniel will receive ACCF for Children's Benefit’s “Courage Award” at our annual 'Teed Off for Tots' Golf Event banquet. The brave firefighters of the Green Island Fire Department and the Empire Ambulance Service crew members will also be honored at the banquet. The Green Island Fire Department intends to grant Daniel’s wish of becoming an honorary firefighter and giving him the opportunity of riding on the fire truck.
