James Deere Takes 13 steps at Minor Improvements Pediatric Physical Therapy
James Deere was an active boy until April 12, 2010 when he entered AMCH emergency room with a very rare strep type A blood infection. Typically this bug results in a sore throat. James decompensated very quickly into kidney failure, septic (Lack of blood and oxygen to tissue), and suffering from toxic shock (Bacterial Infection) due to the strep entering his blood stream. James' left arm and right leg was amputated to save his life. After spending nearly a year in the hospital, James finally came home on 2/23/2011. James continues his recovery and is slowly showing signs of improvement.
