Seriously Ill Child to Receive ‘Courage Award’ and Meet
Favorite Race Car Driver
Who: Zackary VanAllen, age 14 of Hudson, New York.
Illness: Born with SpinaBifida; a birth defect of the spinal cord resulting in paralysis confining him to a wheelchair also causing other medical complications.
Courage Award: Zackary will receive a “Courage Award” at our 8th annual 'Teed Off for Tots' Golf Event for consistently displaying outstanding courage while coping with a lifelong serious illness. His determination to live life to the fullest and his positive attitude is truly an inspiration! Zackary will be surprised when he meets his favorite race car driver and hear his engine ROAR!
Race Car Driver: At age 25, Mark Flach Jr. is recognized as one of the up-and-coming drivers on the DIRT Modified circuit, which stretches from Canada to Delaware and out to Western Pennsylvania/Ohio. Flach Racing competes at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N.Y., on Saturday nights from April through September.
Where: The Fairways of Halfmoon Golf Course, Mechanicville, NY. Weather Permitted- Zackary’s presentation will be outside behind banquet hall, near Mark Flach’s Race Car.
